2. What Data We Collect

  • Profile photo and biography (vendors)
  • Service type, pricing, and availability (vendors)

Booking information

  • Booking details, service type, date and time
  • Booking status and confirmation history
  • Jobs completed count and completion records

Payment information

  • Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. We receive confirmation of payment and transaction records only.

Inventory data (vendors)

  • Product names, quantities, unit types, and photos uploaded to the inventory management tool
  • Inventory usage logs linked to completed bookings

Usage data

  • How you use the Platform, including pages visited, features used, and interactions
  • Device information, IP address, and browser type
  • App usage data collected through our mobile application

Communications

  • Messages and correspondence you send to us
  • Your preferences for marketing communications

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

To provide the service

  • Creating and managing your account
  • Processing bookings and payments
  • Displaying your profile and content to other users
  • Operating the jobs completed count and trust mechanism
  • Providing the inventory management and prediction features

  • Sending booking confirmations, reminders, and updates by email, SMS, or push notification
  • Sending account security alerts and important service notifications
  • Sending marketing and promotional communications about Javeln by email or SMS, where you have agreed to receive them

To improve the Platform

  • Analysing how users interact with the Platform to improve features and performance
  • Using aggregated and anonymised data to understand trends across our vendor and customer base

To meet legal obligations

  • Complying with applicable laws and regulations
  • Responding to lawful requests from authorities

4. Marketing Communications

By creating an account on Javeln, you agree that we may contact you by email and SMS with marketing and promotional communications about our services and features.

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by:

  • Clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email
  • Replying STOP to any marketing SMS
  • Contacting us at hello@javeln.com

Please note that opting out of marketing does not affect transactional communications related to your bookings and account, which we will continue to send while your account is active.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:

  • Contract: Processing necessary to provide the service you have signed up for
  • Legitimate interests: Improving the Platform, preventing fraud, and ensuring platform security
  • Consent: Sending marketing communications by email and SMS
  • Legal obligation: Complying with applicable laws and regulations

6. Who We Share Your Data With

We share your data with the following third parties:

  • Stripe: payment processing. Stripe processes payment data in accordance with their own privacy policy.
  • Apple and Google: for sign-in via Apple Sign In and Google OAuth respectively.
  • AWS (Amazon Web Services): cloud infrastructure and data storage.
  • Analytics providers: to help us understand Platform usage. Data shared with analytics providers is aggregated and anonymised where possible.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Booking and transaction records may be retained for up to 7 years for financial record-keeping purposes.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: You can ask us to delete your data in certain circumstances
